  • If you really want to know solid info on making a Blade Runner gun that actually fires, see Firing the Blade Runner Blaster on youtube, and be sure to read all the introductory material. Building a working firearm is serious business. One needs to understand gunsmithing, physics, and revolver design. Good luck, because embarking on a project can have fatal results.

  • I'm curious, I doubt it myself, But when he filmed this, did Adam ever think he's not only be on set, but an extra for a Blade Runner movie? Super cool!

  • I'd really like to have one of those guns. I have all three versions of the movie. I'd like to see someone attempt to make a working, firing version. Not in California of course. A real state that actually allows to have such things.

  • When will we see Adams R2-D2??

    Reply
  • Lol it's funny how Norman tries to touch everything and how Adam yanks stuff from him to show something. The awkward pointing Norman does is funny too.

  • HYPOCRISY!!!- Adam Savage ‏tweeted- Hey @FedEx! I spend a lot of $ with you guys every year and I LOVE the secret arrow in your logo but we will DROP YOUR SERVICE in a HEARTBEAT if you continue to work with the NRA. • You should have a look to Blade Runner 2049, seems to have a better view of the blaster when Ford meets Gosling.

  • I love Adam's passion for making props. He's just like a little kid. I'm doing amateur cosplay and I am always happy when the character I am playing has items or weapons to craft. Adam is my hero :3

  • The handle of Adams first blaster. The Edison Giocattoli design. I think is the same toy gun handle used for The Lassiter from Firefly. I'm looking at the pictures beside each other and they look pretty spot on. On the wiki it says it's an aluminium casting of a 60's toy gun. Isn't that a fun little coincidence.

    Reply
  • i'm italian and that famous designer is actually "Edison Giocattoli S.p.a" which roughly translates to "Edison Toys Inc", it's an old italian toys manifacturer

  • If Harrison Ford showed up at Adam's Shop, and just shot the shit with him, hung out, looked at all the prop recreations from every single one of Ford's movies --- the video would break the internet. It would have a full billion views.

  • I just saw the remake, it was really good

    Reply
  • Why do people call it blaster if it shoots bullets?

    Reply
  • Great stuff. 2049 is now out also. Wahey!

    Reply
  • Make it a real gun. That would be better. Instead of carrying around a prop, he could be carrying around a fucking blaster.

    Reply
  • wait, Adam has an R2 unit? what doesn't he have?

    Reply
  • Adam must be so rich

    Reply
  • Looking at Adam's first prototype Blaster, I'm seeing design elements that seem to have made it into the 2049 version like those segmented vertical side slabs.

    Reply
  • Again. So wonderful to watch someone who is so passionate about their craft. I don't have the love of props that Adam does, but i love how dedicated and informed he is about them. If you're going to do something do it all the way. Great piece.

  • Would Adam ever consider selling your gun design as a rubber stunt gun

    Reply
  • So will Adam be selling those rubber molded versions of his?

    Reply
  • Adam, I know you have plenty, but now that you have seen and handled the original, you really need to do a how to on the Blade Runner blaster. Using the revolver and rifle bolt and etc. It would be great to see all that goes into one of these.

    Reply
  • Alls I could think is why? Why would somone spend 20 years replicating a gun that isn't real?

    Reply
  • Who knew anyone was so into the gun from Blade Runner... quite impressive, but wow... I wonder how much the prop maker thought about what they were creating.

    Reply
  • where the hell can i get my own bladerunner blaster god damn they look so cool

  • 23:40 So, I'm like 99% sure that if you make your replica out of a real gun receiver, grinding and restamping the serial number is super illegal. Like felony level. Like a decade in federal prison level.

    Reply
  • Little does Adam know then; he would be holding the real Blade Runner Blaster in 4 years.

    Reply
  • How do I buy one of his 2nd iteration model kits?

    Reply
  • The Fox and the Facehugger sounds like a children's story, I like how there's just a Fox and a Facehugger sitting on the table the whole time also I like how Adam's brown handle gun is what I thought of as a Bladerunner gun before I actually got round to watching the movie
