Climes Track - Granite Creek - Tasmania January 2015

As part of our Tasmania 2015 trip we did the Climes Track via the the more difficult South to North route. It had rained the previous 2 days and rained on the day so there where reasonably high water levels at Granite Creek Crossing and quite a bit of mud. The track is great fun and with filming took us a bit more the 3 1/2 hours including one minor recovery. I would rate it as one of my top 5 tracks for overall fun. Its not the most difficult track but great fun and constant attention is needed. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Stretcher Cot | The best vehicle based outdoor sleeping platform | Product Review | ALLOFFROAD #88" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2aMk3ggmmA -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

  • My girlfriend and I are going to Tassie with my D90, 33s, 2' lift and winch. We will be on our own, is this track ok to do on our own in January? I consider myself a good driver

  • Did climies last week in an 02 Triton Mk V6. Was raining all day as well but got through unscathed. New appreciation for what my vehicle can do now. Picking the correct line through obstacles is 80% of the challenge of 4WDing I reckon and experience.
