  • Would this work to sequence my minimoog model d?

  • I just saw the superbooth 2018 vids and the deluge from synthstrom came up looks like a standalone competitor to the novation circuit. I'd really like to see a review of this on your channel.

  • I got it and don’t regret it! It’s amazing! Great video Bo!

  • Has anyone else noticed that the new 1.7 extended chained pattern feature can be saved in sessions. :-)

  • I just bought one like a month ago... It's the most fun thing I have and I can´t believe I ignored it all this time...

  • 2 is soooo much fun, and they sync forever without midi!

  • Can you use this as a Launchpad? Greetings from Lima, Bo

  • So am I right that you can just update any novation circuit 2 from your computer?

  • Bo, does it give a possibility to tie last pattern with 1st one so it plays never ending loop? Or we'd need to change the attack or make the filter cutoff of the 1st pattern lower so it's not such loud? Thanks.

  • If only they would add program change per pattern for the synths

  • You give me anxiety when you hover your fingers over the pad without playing it.

  • While all those updates are a massive welcome, it is very frustrating Novation still isn't going for a Circuit PRO (MK2) version. If they build and triple the price most people would still buy it for sure. Circuit PRO: - Full color display - 128 pads grid (no mini pads please) - Better (deeper) digital synth engine - Analog synth - More tracks - build in mic - Stereo Inputs - SD cardslot - More memory - MIDI DIN sockets - CV i/o Basically copy everything the Synthstrom Deluge has to offer. And have the case, knobs, i/o etc done in a Novation way. And let them hire a few professionals who go crazy with GUI's on displays. (so copy TE engineering for that as well). If Novation build that than I'm waving €1500,- in the air right here!

  • The only frustration I have is that the drums are not mapped to standard general midi drum values so on Ableton you can't just drop in a standard drum rack you have to transpose it. I wish in the editor I could remap the drum note output values then I could also drive the volca with the circuit drums. I might get a hardware midi processor just to remap the circuit but would have been nice if the drums were able to map output to the notes of you choice rather than needing to buy another piece of gear.

  • Lol ur making me wanna use my circuit gj - running two circuits pretty baller set up. Agreed a circuit Pro with SD card would be pretty dope esp if they had two separate ones bunch of drum/percent/sample tracks and another with all digital synth tracks

  • Thanks Bo, i've downloaded the 1.7 update and now i'm trying it... I bought my circuit after watching all your videos and love it so much !!

  • I got one because of this video. Made 4 songs first day with it! It's so fun and easy to use! For me the coolest thing is to play it "live" and come up with different performance ideas! Thanks for the video Bo! Great as always!

  • I always think I want a circuit, then these videos are like, hold this down and press buttons xy&z and my eyes gloss over and turn the video off. They’ve put all of this great stuff into a device with a specific design, that didn’t have all this stuff. Time to redesign the hardware to fit all of these great new features in the software.

  • Could you use this as a brain for a setup? Currently work in a daw but wanting to have a more interactive live setup and planning on possibly getting some mini hardware synths like PO, Roland Boutique, and Korg volca. Can this record audio from a microphone and/or electric guitar?

  • If I was going to spend $400+, the Digitakt would be the winner in my book.

  • Does the note tie works while live recording or just when manually programming it?

  • Fiiiiiiinnnnaaaaalllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy yesssssssssssss!! I've been checking the Components site every day for this update! I put the Circuit down for the last month as I picked up a Deluge (like the Circuit on steroids) and an OP-1, but also that I didn't want to work on any new circuit tracks until the update dropped. Looking forward to picking it back up, I think it's going to be an awesome partner for the Deluge!

  • I got my Novation Circuit in the mail today. I was double surprised and happy to see a new BoBeats video about 1.7 when I came to look up some tutorials to help me out and inspire some ideas! Your videos were part of why I decided to get one and get away from a purely computer-based approach. Keep on being awesome, man!

  • What’s the limit on number of pattern chains Bo?

    Reply
  • Is there a synth flip function like sample flip function or do I have to wait further? The pattern arranger is a cool addition.

  • Someone is having a great gear month 😉

  • When does this come out? I'm foaming at the mouth for that pattern sequencing......

    Reply
  • How much does it cost? I loved your review and the circuit I am thinking of asking for it for my birthday and I need to see whether it's affordable or not.

    Reply
  • The note tie is something I've been wanting them to add for a while, so I'm super pumped about that. The non-sequential pattern chaining looks intuitive, which is great, and could be great for some evolving, unpredictable stuff. Yeah, the Circuit is definitely a great buy in 2018. I use it more than my OP-1.

  • Nice! Might have to take my Circuit on vacation with me, if the v1.7 is released in time. Still find it odd that the MIDI channels are fixed and not assignable. Unless I missed something?

    Reply
  • Cool video Bo but please think about lighting condition when doing videos with Circuit or similar. Can't see much what's going on on the pads.

    Reply
  • I'm regretting selling mine now! Creating drones like that is nice but messing with non-sequential pattern chains of different lengths is even more awesome.

  • Would you recommend this for making hip hop/trap?

  • I like Circuit, but I wish I had skipped it and gone straight to Deluge!

  • I bought the circuit for Christmas last year after your recommendations, and I have to say, I never regreted it at all🔥thanks for that! And keep going, I lover where your channel is going!

  • If you have two, you don't even need to midi them, they just say in time! I seen em go £160 so if you have one, you can use your account for second hand one.

  • Dammit! Saw this video and thought 1.7 had been released! Hopes dashed :p

  • As always, thanks for posting a great video! I've been jonesing for the 1.7 update since I got to play with it at Moogfest. Any ideas as to when it'll be released to the public?

  • I love my Circuit. Novation are doing a great job of updating it regularly and improving what it can do. For the money it costs it's one of the if not the best groove box on the market. I bought one after watching some of your videos so thanks Bo

  • Thanks for the Demo. I'm looking forward to the update. i became fan of the circuit only after using externals midi controllers for it, which i strongly recommend!

  • You were the primary reason I decided I wanted a Circuit. I've had mine just over 2 years now, and I still use it constantly, in addition to my analog, virtual analog, digital, etc. gear. It's a staple. One thing that bums me out (possibly the only thing, for the price) is that the synths can only be midi channels 1 and 2. But overall, it's one of the best purchases I've ever made!

  • Nice. In Agreement with you on the sd card slot.
